Child Safeguarding Representative (CSR) – Summary
Two CSRs are appointed to lead child safeguarding efforts at PPTANC, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and protective environment for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and implement safeguarding policies and procedures
- Be available and approachable for concerns or discussions
- Record and report any safeguarding issues appropriately
- Promote awareness of safeguarding practices across the Centre
- Ensure best practice protocols (e.g. police vetting, travel policies) are followed
- Attend required training and stay updated on safeguarding developments
- Submit regular reports to the Committee and liaise with NNZ and relevant agencies
Skills Required:Approachable, excellent communicator, attentive listener, organized, confident in reporting, and knowledgeable in child protection risks and indicators.
